The fifth quarter is an idea, a vision. If the Old City of Jerusalem has four quarters – Jewish, Christian, Muslim and Armenian –then the neighborhood of Musrara could be the fifth quarter, the creative corner of Jerusalem. As the first neighborhood outside the walls of the Old City, Musrara symbolizes the Jerusalem of the future, in which us Jerusalemites no longer consider our diversity a source of conflict but instead as an opportunity – an advantage and an important component of the unique creativity that emerges from our city.
Q5 is located in the Canada House (22 Shivtei Yisrael St. Musrara, behind City Hall), is Jerusalem’s public coworking space for designers, developers, marketers and creative individuals/small groups. Q5 is Sponsored by the city and run by the community, it is a place for the local creative community to call home.
Q5 is managed by the Jerusalem Center for Young Adults, with the help of Made in JLM.
